FAQ's

Frequently asked questions
Will you travel to us?

All our prices include travel up to 20 miles from our base. Additional costs (at 50p per mile, as calculated by Google maps) are incurred if we have to travel greater distances, but we are happy to discuss your requirements

How will you get the pony/unicorn to my venue?

We generally use a small horsebox (lorry) to transport the ponies, so we will need a suitable space to park and unload. If you have limited space, please call us to discuss this, so that we can safely arrange for the ponies' arrival.

I only have a small garden - will there be room for a pony?

Our ponies are very small, so they don't need an awful lot of space, BUT unless your garden/party area is fairly large, and easy to access, it is advisable to contact us to check that the space is suitable before booking your visit.

Do I need a permission to have ponies at my party?

If you are holding your party in a public place, or anywhere that you don't own, it is your responsibility to ensure that you have the relevant consent/ permission for the ponies to be at the venue.

What should I do if someone in my group is allergic to animal hair?

Please check with attendees to ascertain whether anyone is allergic to animal hair, and inform us of this when you book.
Although we will do our best to keep our ponies/unicorns a safe distance from anyone with allergies, it is ultimately the responsibility of the person concerned or their parent/guardian to ensure their safety is maintained throughout our visit.

What do I do if someone in my group is scared of, or has a phobia of, horses?

Please inform us when you book if anyone in your party is particularly scared or phobic of horses. We will do everything in our power to ensure we keep the ponies away from these individuals.

Will the pony/unicorn have to relieve itself?

Like humans, animals need to attend to the 'call of nature' every now and then. Whilst we do our utmost to ensure this happens before or after they start work, this is ultimately out of our control.
In the unlucky event that a mishap does occur while a pony is in an indoor setting, we will ensure the area is effectively cleaned straight after the event.
Please note that cleaning carpeted areas is much more difficult, so if you are in any way concerned about this, please do not include these areas in our visit.

Can my child ride the unicorn?

Unfortunately not. We have made the decision to provide visits/parties with no riding as we feel this is better for the ponies' welfare. We therefore have not renewed our licence for ridden parties.

Are your ponies able to visit residents who are in bed?

Possibly. Our ponies may be happy to travel in a lift in order to get to bed-ridden residents, provided it is big enough. They are not able to climb stairs however, so a suitable lift is essential if you'd like them to go anywhere other than the ground floor. Please note that it is always the ponies' decision whether or not to go in a lift, so we can't guarantee their cooperation!

How do I book a visit?

We can take bookings via email (info@rainbowdreaming.co.uk, by telephone (+44 7794349985), or via Facebook or Instagram messenger.
Once we have confirmed the date for your event, we require a deposit equivalent to 25% of the total price to secure this. Payments can be made by bank transfer, or via the Paypal link on our Bookings page.

How far in advance do I need to book?

Because our ponies/unicorns are very popular, we can get very busy, particularly during the school holidays. We always advise booking as far in advance as possible to avoid disappointment

What happens if the weather is bad?

Whilst our ponies are fine with less than perfect weather, there are occasions when conditions are not suitable for us to attend outdoor events; most commonly these are snow, very icy conditions, heavy rain, or very strong winds.
Should we need to cancel due to inclement weather, we will either give you a full refund (including deposit) or arrange another date with you.
If you need to cancel as a result of the weather, we do ask that you give us as much notice as possible. We will reschedule your booking or refund your money.
Please note that deposits are non-refundable if cancellation on the grounds of bad weather is not communicated to us before 6pm (1800 hours) the day before the event.

What happens if I need to cancel my booking?

We appreciate that sometimes unexpected things happen, and plans have to change as a result. Should you need to cancel your booking, we will be happy to reschedule for another time, or refund your money.
Unfortunately, deposits are non-refundable if you cancel less than 48 hours before your booking date (unless the cancellation is because of poor weather)

What happens if Rainbow Dreaming CIC need to cancel?

On the very rare occasions that our ponies are unwell, or the weather is particularly bad, Rainbow Dreaming reserve the right to cancel an event. Should this happen, we will inform you as soon as is possible, and will give you a full refund (including deposit) or arrange an alternative date with you.
